There are many reasons to visit Moruya's favourite hideaway, Gundary Store…those who have, might admit to a secret love affair with the charming, unassuming yet vibrant cafe restaurant.
First up of course is the warm welcome by the Restaurateurs, Trevor & Fiona Gill and staff as you walk inside to place your order at the counter. They are never too busy to have a quick friendly chat as you feast your eyes on the sweet & savoury treats on display…your taste-buds kicking in for (yet another) delightful foodie experience.
Take time to study the menu with wonderful fare on offer for breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon tea. Coffee and tea varieties cater to gourmet tastes, with Barrista services of the highest quality.
The professional team of cooks select only the finest, freshest local produce some of which is 'just picked' from the Store's own garden. Their epicurean flare is displayed in careful sourcing of specialties from afar to excite and entice.
Cakes, meals, and other delights are cooked and baked on the premises, with tempting treats to take home with you should you wish.
There is every reason to be excited about the dedicated and masterly chefs & cooks whose number has recently increased by a new talent from the local award winning The River restaurant. This friendly team is brimming with ideas to make your experience more enjoyable.
A recent customer called the cakes & muffins 'heavenly', and vegetarian options 'hearty'. The generously portioned home-cooked meals, and the relaxed vibe are perfectly complemented by the fairy-tale federation cottage setting, with picket fence, pretty garden outdoor eating areas, and candy-striped awnings shading generous verandahs. Gundary Store has been in use for longer than can be
remembered, with people in yester-year as they do now, strolling in. This is part of what makes it special.
