Moruya Rotary Club

The Moruya Rotary Club is active in supporting community projects, charitable and other worthy causes, and particularly youth programs. The main source of income is operating the kiosk at the Moruya Race Club and also through it's own catering caravan which attends various venues on request. Recent projects include Moruya Quarry Park, Gundary Oval Childrens Playground, Bar-B-Q station in Russ Martin Park, Landscaping of Chesher Park, Seating on Moruya walking paths.

The club is very active in the International student exchange program, sponsoring both outbound students from Moruya to a variety of overseas countries and hosting inbound overseas students. It also offers an annual scholarship to students from Moruya and Carroll College High Schools. The Club sponsors a number of youth developmental programs for school aged youth as well as vocational opportunities for young professionals and trades people. "Bricks and Mortar" type projects are also an integral part of the Moruya Rotary annual activities with a number of building type propositions presently under consideration.

Moruya Rotary currently has 44 members including five females. Ages include a number of octogenarians ranging down to the youngest member who is 23 years old. As well as Club business there is a strong social component within the Club activities which encourages the participation of spouses and families. There is a desire to attract more female and younger people to the membership and any inquiries are welcome
